    What is the Image to PDF?

    Image to PDF turns photos, scans and screenshots into a single PDF with one image per page — receipts for an expense claim, photographed pages of a form, a set of ID documents to email. Add JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF images, put them in order, and choose A4, Letter or Legal pages, or pages that match each image.

    Everything happens in your browser, so the images are never uploaded. JPG photos are placed into the PDF byte-for-byte, with no re-compression, and turned the right way up using the orientation your phone recorded — so portrait photos do not come out sideways. PNGs keep their transparency; other formats are converted once, at high quality.

    How to use it

    1. Drop your images onto the page, or click to choose them. You can also paste an image from the clipboard.
    2. Use the arrows to put the images in page order.
    3. Choose the page size, orientation and margin. The PDF is rebuilt instantly when you change them.
    4. Download the PDF.

    Frequently asked questions

    Will converting reduce the quality of my photos?
    Not for JPG and PNG: the image data is placed into the PDF unchanged. WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF images are converted once to high-quality JPEG, or to PNG if they have transparent areas, because PDF cannot hold those formats directly.
    Why do my phone photos come out the right way up here but sideways elsewhere?
    Phones store photos as the sensor captured them and record the rotation separately, in the EXIF Orientation tag. This tool reads that tag and turns the image on the page; tools that ignore it produce sideways pages.
    What does Auto orientation do?
    It picks a landscape page for images that are wider than they are tall and a portrait page for the rest, so each image is shown as large as possible. Choose Portrait or Landscape to use the same orientation for every page.
    Are my images uploaded anywhere?
    No. The images are read from your device and the PDF is assembled inside the page. Nothing is sent to a server.
    Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
    Only in browsers that can open HEIC images, which today means Safari. In other browsers, export the photos as JPG first — or set the iPhone camera to Most Compatible.
