What is the Invoice Generator?

An invoice generator turns the details of a sale — who you are, who is paying, what was delivered and what it costs — into a clean, professional document you can send the same day. Fill in the form and the invoice builds itself beside it, with line totals, tax, discounts and the amount due worked out for you.

When it looks right, Download PDF produces a crisp, print-quality file with real, selectable text rather than a blurry screenshot. Everything happens in your browser: your client list, prices and bank details are never uploaded, and a draft is kept only in this browser so you can pick up where you left off.

How to use it

  1. Add your business details and, optionally, upload your logo.
  2. Enter the client you are billing, then the invoice number, dates and currency.
  3. Add a line for each product or service with its quantity, rate and tax rate.
  4. Set a discount, shipping or an amount already paid if they apply.
  5. Add payment details and terms, then press Download PDF and choose “Save as PDF”.

Frequently asked questions

Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark on the PDF and no limit on how many invoices you make.
Where is my invoice data stored?
Only in your own browser. The invoice is built on this page and the PDF is produced by your browser’s print engine, so nothing you type is sent to a server. The draft is kept in your browser’s local storage so it survives a reload; use “Clear saved details” to remove it, which is worth doing on a shared computer.
How do I download the invoice as a PDF?
Press Download PDF, then choose “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF”) as the printer. For the cleanest result, turn off “Headers and footers” in the dialog’s settings. The file is named after the invoice number and client.
Do I need a GST invoice instead?
If you are registered for GST in India and billing another business, use the GST Invoice Generator: it adds GSTINs, HSN/SAC codes, place of supply and the CGST/SGST or IGST split that a tax invoice must show. This generator is for general invoices in any currency.
How is the discount applied when items have different tax rates?
The discount is taken off the subtotal before tax and shared across the lines in proportion to their value, so each line is taxed on its discounted amount. That keeps the tax correct when an order mixes, say, 5% and 18% items.
