    What is the Passport Size Photo Maker?

    A passport size photo maker crops an ordinary photo to the exact size an application asks for (35 × 45 mm for an Indian passport, 2 × 2 inches for a US or Indian visa, 25 × 35 mm for a PAN card) and lays copies out on a sheet you can print at home or at any photo shop. Take a photo against a plain wall, drop it in, frame the face with the zoom and position sliders, and download both the single photo and the print sheet.

    The single photo is saved as a 300 DPI JPG, ready for online forms, and can be capped at a size in KB for portals with an upload limit. The print sheet is a PDF, so every photo prints at its true physical size instead of being stretched to fit the page. The photo never leaves your device.

    How to use it

    1. Choose the photo size and the print sheet: 4 × 6 inch photo paper or A4.
    2. Add a clear, front-facing photo taken against a plain, light background.
    3. Use Zoom and the position sliders until the face sits inside the dashed oval in the preview.
    4. If the form has an upload limit, enter it under Max photo size.
    5. Download the JPG for online forms and the PDF print sheet. Print the PDF at 100% (Actual size).

    Frequently asked questions

    What is the passport photo size in India?
    Passport Seva asks for 35 × 45 mm (3.5 × 4.5 cm) with a white or off-white background, the face centred and covering most of the frame. Indian visa and OCI applications use 51 × 51 mm (2 × 2 inches) instead.
    How many passport photos fit on a 4 × 6 sheet?
    Eight 35 × 45 mm photos fit on 4 × 6 inch photo paper with room to cut between them, or thirty on A4. Enter a number under Copies to print fewer; the rest of the sheet is left blank for later.
    Why is the print sheet a PDF and not a JPG?
    Printers and photo apps usually resize an image to fill the paper, which makes every photo the wrong size. A PDF records the real dimensions, so when it is printed at 100% or "Actual size" each photo comes out exactly right.
    Does it remove or change the background?
    No. The photo is cropped and resized, never edited, so take it in front of a plain white or light wall with even lighting. Many offices reject photos with altered backgrounds anyway.
    Is my photo uploaded to a server?
    No. Cropping, resizing and building the print sheet all happen in your browser. The photo is not sent anywhere, and the page keeps working offline once loaded.
    Will my photo be accepted?
    The tool gets the size and framing right, but acceptance also depends on the photo itself: a neutral expression, eyes open, no glasses glare, even light and a plain background. Check the rules for your application before printing.
